How it works
Prize cards
Six face-down cards. You take them when you KO something. Taking the last one wins.
After setup you put six cards from your deck face-down as Prizes. They are not in your hand. You cannot play them until you take them.
A normal KO lets you take one Prize. A rulebox Pokémon (ex and friends) usually lets the opponent take two. That is why people say “it is a two-prize attacker.”
You choose which face-down Prize to take. Sometimes the card you need is still a Prize — that is the game being rude, not a misplay you can undo.
If you take your last Prize, you win immediately. You do not have to attack again. Count them.
